EVENTS

April 17, 2010:
We hosted our Spring trial with USA Judge Bill Szentmiklosi. Congratulations to Kathy Moacanin and Dex on their SchH 1. Kim Buchanan and Emi earned their SchH 3 and Heist and Ikon handled by Anne Kent passed their BH test.
Special thanks to Bill and to Greg Levitt for his Trial helper work. Thank you Greg.

AUGUST 15, 2009
We hosted our first USA Helper Seminar and Classification. The weather was cooler than normal for this time of year much to everyone's delight. Two members, James Sexton and Anne Kent classified as USA Trial Helpers and we had a nice time training a bit after the seminar ended. Big thanks to Karen Groh for providing the handling and some of her own dogs to be used in the seminar, and of course to Craig for his expert instruction during the seminar. Click HERE for pictures of the seminar.

MAY 23, 2009: We held our United Schutzhund Clubs of America Affiliation Trial with Regional Director Thom Payne presiding. We had a great time and Thom was nice enough to work a few dogs afterwards and give everyone a few training pointers. Click HERE to view pictures of the trial and training afterward. Thanks to Becky and Vickie from Nevada for providing the great photography

ABOUT CANYON K-9 CLUB
We are a small group of serious Schutzhund trainers interested in quality training and dogs with the proper drives and temperament for the work. We are a dedicated group and therefore keep our membership smaller to ensure the level of training remains high. Canyon K-9 Club's Training Director is one of only a very few people in America to compete in the World Championship with a dog bred, raised and trained in the United States, has assisted in the training of a number of other dogs who have competed there as well and has over 34 years experience training in Schutzhund as both the handler and Training Helper.
If you have a strong interest in Schutzhund and are interested in above average SchH training, please e-mail or call for more information.

The training field is located in Saugus, California. Saugus is approximately 25 minutes north of the San Fernando Valley and 45 minutes from Los Angeles.
